The ambiance is good for a date. I sat at the bar. The service from the kitchen and the bartender was fast. I ordered an apple cinnamon margarita, corn, and shrimp tacos. The Mexican corn was delicious. I got it with light jalapeños. The shrimp tacos could have been better if there was a different sauce. The sauce it comes with is too spicy for me.
I just had their Walleye Dinner, the fish was mild and tender with a pesto topping, it came with green beans and au gratin potatoes on the side, the whole dinner was Delicious. I have had the chicken enchiladas and their salads which are also Delicious. This family owned restaurant makes sure their customers have a wonderful experience, from the food to the service and the atmosphere.
This was probably the best dinner experience I have had in months. As someone with dietary restrictions, being asked immediately by our server if the table any restrictions put my mind at ease. I asked our phenomenal server to surprise us with drinks and he chose brilliantly. I wish I had the words to describe how fantastic the food was. Amazing experience, and one I fully intent on repeating far more often.
Food was amazing and full of flavor! Lucy was our waitress, she was very attentive, knowledgeable, and charismatic! She gave great recommendations and paid attention to small details. The ambiance is chic with Hispanic flair. Overall a great experience and hope to see Lucy next time we come in!
Very clean restaurant. The food was excellent and the drinks yummy! We will definitely be back.
First time here, came in for lunch and it was extremely good. Ordered the guacamole and chips as an appetizer. Could certainly tell it was fresh with a good amount of cilantro. The raffish slices were a good touch. The chips were also solid. We ordered the Asada tacos and the pork belly tacos. The asada tacos were amazing, well seasoned meat, good amount of onion and cilantro and the green sauce that came with them was tasty with a kick. The pork belly tacos were decent. The pork belly could have been cooked slightly longer as I like the outside to have a slight crunch. The pickled onions were very good and pretty much made the dish overall. Also had the silver margaritas, which were excellent.
Really delicious drinks! The food was pretty good and we enjoyed our time here. It's always awesome to have some good Mexican places nearby. Service and ambience are both very good.
I like this place it is very intimate. The staff is very friendly and always smiling. I do recommend making in big a reservation. It is a small place and there is always a wait but if you have a reservation you get seated without waiting. The food is very good. I have been here a few times. I have had the pork belly tacos which is a special but should really be added to the menu. I have also had the shrimp tacos that are excellent very favorful but very light This time I had the Cameroon flambé (shrimp fajitas). They were good but it doesn't come with rice or the extras at other places. It was the tortillas and stop with the vegetables that were cooked with. They were still very good. I had the Paloma very good and the Silver Margaritas very good too. The guacamole was ok it need at little more lime.
My husband and I were able to get a last minute reservation for our date night and went on a Friday night. Reservations seem like a must in a weekend- the place was PACKED. The ambiance was intimate but well-lit. We sat at the bar and had a bunch of apps. The only downside was that the person serving us was the bartender, who was making all the drinks for the restaurant. He was wonderful but it was kind of hard to get his attention and I felt bad waving him down, as he seemed pretty slammed. The highlight was the stuffed date appetizer. It came with 4 dates, stuffed with chorizo and wrapped in bacon. I got a pomegranate mock and my husband got margarita and both were really tasty. Overall would go back to try a full meal, maybe on a weeknight or at a table during the weekend.
Delicious food but service was super slow. CHIPS & SALSA: Tortilla chips were crunchy and the house made roasted tomato salsa was fresh and delicious. $7 as of Sept 2023. ESQUITES: Roasted corn off the cob, cilantro, onions, jalapeño, mixed with house made cotija cheese lime sauce. $9. This corn salad was sweet, refreshing with a little tang. I really liked it. ALAMBRE de ASADA: Short rib, thinly cut, seasoned, grilled with a touch of bacon, onions and poblano peppers, served in a skillet, topped with melted Oaxaca cheese and a side of corn tortillas. $21. Delicious but the cheese was a bit overwhelming and didn't let the beef shine. But it was still good. In general the food was pretty good. The restaurant also looked nice and clean on the inside. Parking was super easy and plenty.
